Christian Pulisic played a pivotal role in AC Milan’s first win of the season, assisting and scoring a penalty in their 4-0 triumph over Venezia.

Milan, who had struggled to score early in the season, came out aggressively. Left back Theo Hernandez scored within the first two minutes, setting the tone for the match. Pulisic then made his impact felt, assisting Youssouf Fofana on a corner kick. Fofana headed the ball into the net to double Milan’s lead.

Perhaps as a reward for his season so far, Pulisic was called upon to take a penalty in the 25th minute, which he converted to score his second goal of the season. Tammy Abraham, who previously played alongside Pulisic at Chelsea, added a second penalty to complete Milan’s scoring. USMNT star Yunus Musah joined in late, at the 74th minute, to help close out the game.

For Venezia, while the match result was disappointing, there was a silver lining as American midfielder Gianluca Busio made his season debut.
