McKennie has been linked with a move to Fiorentina this summer, although his high salary has made a move difficult for the Viola to fund. Nevertheless, a clear signal was sent to the ex-Leeds United player regarding his future by manager Thiago Motta, as he was left out of the squad for their friendly with Brest.
