The ex-UNC midfielder has also represented the USWNT at various youth levels, including with the U23's last year. She competed at the 2028 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup with the US as well, playing through the system into her collegiate career.

Now she can add TST 2024 champion to her resume, after notching the winning goal in Target Score Time for the US Women.

WHAT TALIA DELLAPERUTA SAID

"I mean, at that moment, you're not thinking right? Like, I just saw the ball come to me and i was able to put it in the back of the net," she said of the match-winner. "And it was just… everything kind of stopped for a second. When it went in, I just could not believe it. Like, that was the winning goal, everything that we had worked for this whole weekend.

DellaPeruta revealed that with her winnings, she'd contemplate buying a "nice purse" but there are bigger things on her mind.

"I'm going to be smart, I'm going to invest – that's what my family would like to hear," she said. "But i'm also probably going to buy a nice purse as my first purchase and other than that… just save it."

The 22-year-old will return to Italy this summer for preseason as well, with Sampdoria returning to play come August.
