Lashings have announced that Brian Lara will play in the squad that facesDurham at the Riverside next week.Lara, one of the most exciting players in the world, will hold fond memoriesof playing against Durham; when he played for Warwickshire he scored 501 notout.Lara, described as “the best stroke-maker in the world”, holds the worldrecord for the highest Test and first-class score, 375 and 501 respectively.The former West Indies Captain, with 190 one-day caps and 80 test caps, madehis test debut against Pakistan at Lahore in the 3rd test in 1990/91.Tickets for Durham v Lashings World XI on Wednesday 7 August are stillavailable by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0191 387 1717.
