Bronze and Carter were named in the Team of the Season following their efforts with Barcelona and Chelsea respectively. Barcelona went on to secure the trophy in the final against Lyon on Saturday, with Chelsea being knocked out by the eventual champions in the semi-final. Elsewhere, Spanish star Aitana Bonmati, who scored in the 2-0 win against Lyon, was named the 2023-24 Women's Champions League Player of the Season.

Speaking after the win, where she scored the opening goal, against Lyon, Bonmati said: "Anyone who knows me will say to you, 'She'll never have enough.' I'm such an ambitious person. I'm almost never satisfied with my work, and I always want more. But I try to treasure these moments more and more and I've enjoyed this season the most."

Bronze and Carter will link-up with their England team-mates at the end of May for the Women's Euro 2025 qualifiers against France. The games will be held on May 31 and another will take place on June 4. They will also face Republic of Ireland on July 12 and Sweden on July 16.
